New scientific publications support ELF test Two new peer-reviewed scientific studies demonstrating the efficacy of ELF have been accepted for publication in high-ranking journals. In a study due to be published in Hepatology, the ELF algorithm was shown to be a highly accurate non-invasive measure of primary biliary cirrhosis severity by Marlyn Mayo et al. Long-term follow-up of 161 patients with PBC demonstrated that ELF provides useful prognostic information. An Italian group led by Valerio Nobili has shown the effectiveness of using ELF in over 100 children with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Results will be published in Gastroenterology shortly. |
